LISA MCDERMOTT

Lisa started physie when she was 6 years old and has been doing physie for the past 15 years. She has consecutively been a National competitor throughout her Junior years and has performed several times at the Sydney Opera House in the Senior National Finals. In 2017, Lisa was successful in placing 4th at the Senior National Finals. At 15 years old, Lisa began her teaching career as a helper at Toongabbie Physie since then she has been an Associate Teacher for the past 5 years. Lisa finds her passion in teaching because she loves to see girls achieve their personal bests and enjoys building strong student-teacher relationships. She feels privledged to be able to guide and support girls and women throughout their time at Toongabbie Physie. 

ALIX ABELA
Alix has been doing physie at Toongabbie for 15 years, since the age 5. Her passion for teaching began at age 12 where she became a helper in the junior classes. Since then, Alix has become an associate and continues to share her knowledge and love for physie to all students. She has been a part of many successful teams, and as an individual competitor, has competed at Junior Nationals on multiple occasions and has performed once at the Sydney Opera House for Senior National Finals. Alex loves to see all the girls at Toongabbie Physie strive for their best, grow in confidence and most of all enjoy their physie.

DARCIE DONALDSON

Darcie has been doing physie since she was 4 years old and has been at Toongabbie for 8 years. She enjoys the empowerment and determination of competing. Teaching has allowed her to recognise that the sport has shaped her into the person she is today. Darcie has been part of many place getting teams, made the National Finals in her junior years and most recently placing second in the State in the 1st year section. Darcie is a confident and reliable teacher here at Toongabbie Physie and recommends the sport to all. 

LILY KESSLER

Lily has been doing physie since the age of 6 at Toongabbie Physie Club for 11 years. Competing in multiple individual competitions, making a national level on multiple occassions. She has also had many successful team based competitions with numerous places through the years. Lily has always loved teaching and empowering young girls to reach their full potential and be the best they could possibly be. Teaching physie has been a learning experience for Lily as it has taught her many new skills and has made her a more confident person. Lily is a kind and approachable person.

JORDAN SPENCER

Jordan has been involved in physie for 20 years, beginning at the age of 6. Over the years she has competed in both individual and teams competitions. Jordan joined the Toonie teaching team in 2014. She enjoys coming to physie each week to see everyone's smiling faces and watching all members, young and old, develop long lasting friendships. Jordan looks forward to an exciting year of fun at Toongabbie Physie. 

RACHAEL MCDERMOTT

Rachael has been competing in both individual and team competitions since she was 6 years old and has been doing physie for the past 13 years. She has been a Junior National competitor on multiple occassions, becoming a National Finalist in the 14 years section. Rachael has competed twice at the Senior National Finals. She is eager to develop skills to become the best teacher she can be. 

TENEAL MCDERMOTT

Teneal has been participating in physie since she was 5 years old and has been doing physie for the past 12 years. Teneal has been successful at Junior Zone competitions, being awarded 1st place in the 6 years and 13 years sections. She has also been awarded other places that have granted her with the opportunity to compete at Junior Nationals. Teneal is looking forward to working along side the Associates to support the growth of our ladies age group.

SARAH BURRIDGE

Sarah is our youngest helper in the team! She started physie at the age of 5 years old and has been part of Toongabbie physie for 7 years. Sarah has had many successful years in both individual and team competitions, consistently making the Junior National Finals. She is super excited to help and inspire the younger girls to strive in their physie and to have fun.
